Collaboration with Teton Science Schools(TSS), Wyoming, USA

The signing of memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the Teton Science Schools (TSS), Wyoming, USA and the Gross National Happiness Commission (GNHC) of Bhutan in 2008 has facilitated the collaboration of TSS and SCE   on the implementation of Place-Based Education (PBE) at SCE. TSS delegations led by Ms. Leslie Cook, Senior Director of Educator Development have visited SCE and facilitated several professional development programs, as well as supported in the development of the Master of Education Science and Math programs. TSS made significant contributions to the conception, development, and launch of M.Ed. Science and Math programs at SCE. PBE has been incorporated as one of the approaches to science and math education in M.Ed programs. Similarly, SCE faculty members have exchanged visits with TSS in order to learn the best practices of PBE and its implementation in STEM subjects.
